Tournament Leaderboard
If you are interested in the best Mac poker sites, chances are you will probably want to play tournaments. Pretty much every major poker site has tournament leaderboards, so today I will tell you about the ones found on UB. In total there are four different leaderboards, and each one has cash prizes to be won.
Like on other Mac poker sites, you will be ranked based on a points total. The number of points received in a given tournament depends on the prize pool and where you finish. The site uses the same formula for all its leaderboards.
Like many of the flash Texas Holdem sites, the site has split the MTT leaderboard into weekly, monthly, and yearly divisions. The weekly version takes your best 10 results, and the person finishing in 1st wins $1,000. For the month, your top 20 results are used. This leaderboard has $14k to give out to its winners, with first place receiving $6.5k. Lastly, the annual leaderboard considers your top 100 cashes, similar to the leaderboards you get with the PokerStars download. There is an exclusive freeroll for the top 50 players. 10th through 1st place receive cash. The best prize is given to the top 2, however: a WSOP Main Event buy-in worth $10,000!
If you do not have much experience on US friendly poker sites, you might want to try the SnG leaderboards. The reason for this is that there are separate leaderboards for different stakes. If you play $20 or lower, you belong to the Diamond division. The total weekly prize pool for Diamond is $1.5k and the prize pool for the month is $5k. If you play between $21 and $50, you belong to the Heart division. The Heart division has $3,000 weekly and $7,000 monthly. Every week $6k is won while every month $10k is won in this division.
